Interview 3: What will you be sensitive about?

Me: Is there anything that will stimulate your visual organ?

An Yu: Colors and tactility. For example, different clothes give people different feelings. I like the wide-area colors, as I can see them easily.

He Liu: I’m quick of hearing. In fact, my world is composed of various sounds. For example, trucks make a lighter sound than cars; different winds have different sounds; a heavy rain and a light rain make different sounds on the window. Anyhow, such sounds have become elements of my world. In many cases, I distinguish one person from another by their different voices. There will always be some tiny differences, even if their voices are quite similar.

Jinna Guo: Both sounds and colors play a very important role in my life. I have the poor vision, but I still can see things and distinguish them from one another. However, when I cannot see clearly, I have to move closer. Sounds are a more magic existence to me. I’m not sure if it is because of my poor vision that I have the much sharper hearing than others.

Ni Liang: To me, touch is very important. I can distinguish one from another by voices, but I have to touch their faces to outline their appearance in my mind.

Comment:

I always think hands and sound is the action of helping the visual impaired people. After this conversation , I found that besides mention above, the colour is importan as well. However, many people are not aware of this, people tend to just put the visually impaired connect with the touch feeling together.
